Ted Mason Announces Candidacy for Cook County Commissioner, 15th District
“I am proud to announce my candidacy for Cook County Commissioner in the 15th District. Having served as Chief of Staff to Commissioner Kevin Morrison for over six years, I am excited to continue the work of expanding access to mental health care, bringing resources to our small businesses in the northwest suburbs, and providing Cook County with balanced budgets.
As a father to four young children, I am invested in making our communities safe, diverse, and vibrant. As a lifelong public servant, I look forward to engaging with all residents to hear their concerns and represent them on the Board of Commissioners.”

Ted Mason has served as Chief of Staff since 2018 to Commissioner Kevin Morrison. In this role, he has built relationships across the district and provided constituent services for countless residents. Previously, he served as Director of Outreach for Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi and as Chief of Staff for former-State Senator Toi Hutchinson.
Ted has been the Elk Grove Township Democratic Committeeperson since 2014.
Ted lives with his wife and four children in Elk Grove Village.
