Ted has spent his career in public service. He began in former-State Senator Toi Hutchinson’s district office, where he worked his way up to her Chief of Staff. He then served as Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi’s Director of Outreach.
Since 2018, Ted has served as Chief of Staff to Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison. Through his work, he has built relationships across the 15th District. He has worked hard to ensure constituents are heard and advocated for.
Through his work in the federal, state, and county governments, Ted understands how government needs to work to together to advocate for the constituents that reside in that area. He aims to bring that perspective to the role of Cook County Commissioner for the benefit of all residents.
With almost 15 years of experience, Ted has helped assist countless constituents with their ongoing issues.
Ted Mason has lived in Elk Grove Village for over 30 years. He attended public schools, including District 54’s Stevenson Elementary School and Mead Junior High. For high school, he graduated from District 211’s Conant High School.
He graduated from Illinois State University with a double-major in Political Science and History. He then continued his education at ISU and received a Master’s degree in Politics & Government.
Ted has been elected as Elk Grove Township Democratic Committeeperson since 2014, where he has worked to help elect Democrats across the northwest suburbs.
Ted lives in Elk Grove Village with his wife, Michelle, and four young children.
